So, today I was talking with Daniel and I was telling him that I would like to join the Army. He just kinda laughed, and I asked him "what?! you think I couldn't do it?" So, I kept thinking about it a little more and then I realized that maybe I would like to join (but not with the Army). Maybe the Air Force. I was in Air Force ROTC in high school and I really liked, I never finished the four years b/c I went to Mexico and when I got back I could not catch up anymore so I didn't do it; I really wanted to do all of it though. I think I could do it. I think I would like to do it. I would like to serve my country. YES!! The US is MY country, even though I was born in Mexico, I was raised in the US and the US is my home. I have a lot of respect for the people who serve this country and protect us. I am seriously thinking about this. I know what most of you think, how could I? I have children. Yes, I do, but this is really possible. I want to do something more with my life. It's b/c of free education, it's more than that. I could do it!

Isn't he the cutest thing? I want his CD. He has a great voice.
Christian Bale is just so awesome. He is a great actor! and the best Batman! :)
Spongebob Square Pants! Now that we have cable I have made the decision of not allowing my kids to watch this show. Why? My main reason is b/c there are tons of hidden pervertities in this show that I believe kids should not watch. Yes, they may be too little to understand what is being said; little kids will still repeat everything they hear, Right? I believe that this is a horrible show along with tons of ther shows on Nickelodeon. What happened to the good old shows for kids? My kids are now only allowed to watch PBS shows and some cartoons on the Cartoon Network, like Scooby Doo.

Thanks to everyone for your encouraging comments on my last post!

Random

Kai loves Manny. In the last couple days Kai has been talking more and be more interactive, I can now keep an actual conversation with him (sort of). He is a really bad kid; he will jump on you, pull your hair, scratch you and then run away and laugh. I didn't raise him this way! Is this my fault or are kids that way anyways? Any advice???

There were tons of thing I wanted to blog about, but I don't remember now. Sorry! I don't feel inspired.

Mexican Week
My plan for this weeks is to have one home cooked mexican meal a day. This is my plan:

Monday: Posole
Tuesday: Gordas
Wednesday: Chicken salad w/ tostadas
Thursday:Enchiladas
Friday:Tamales (maybe)

Can't think of anything else, I will post pics.

Aniseth is growing up so fast! She has 2 lose teeth (bottom center), she is kinda scared b/c she doesn't quite understand what is going to happen within the next couple days. I hope she doesn't freak out.
This fall she will be going to school and she is way excited. It is a preschool, she will be going 5 days a week for 3 hours a day. It isn't very long but she really needs to get out and make some friends. Emily who will be taking care of them (Kai and Ani) will be taking her to school while I work. Aniseth really likes hanging out with Emily. Sometimes I get a little jealous b/c it seems like she has more fun with Emily, but the truth is Ani just gets tired of me; that is perfectly ok. Emily watched them for me while Daniel was at camp with the boys in our ward. Kai and Ani had tons of fun but when I would go pick them up, they were ready to come home it seemed, and that made me happy. I guess that no matter how much they like other people (Rachelle, Emily, Aunt Liset, Sis. Gibbons), they are always happy to come home. That is comforting.

Today I had to do sharing time at church. IT WAS HORRIBLE! The jr. primary was bored, sr. primary was bored...even I was bored! I am not good at these things. Can anyone help? What are some things I could do? I thought my lesson was very well planned out but it went down the drain. I was so disappointed. I told the first counselor that it (excuse my language) sucked! I was sooo diappointed I wanted to cry. I had worked soo hard, the kids didn't seem too into it.

some pics for rachelle :)

people

i love soo many things about my job. 1 of the biggest things i like is that i get to meet soo many different people.. and they love me. :) i never thought i would meet some of the people i have met.

2 police officers (one who absolutely loves my massages), tore his gastrocnemius
1 interior decorator
2 computer geeks who work for the the state/county
1 waitress
1 guy who owns a motorcycle shop and his wife as well ( she wears motorcycle earrings)
1 geologist/bodybuilder
1 real estate guy
1 travel agent
1 chemist person

that's all i can think of right now.

there are also some things i don't like about my job. 4 1 it is a family buisness, which isn't always good b/c "family" first right? my boss just bought the buisness from his mom but she still works there as a chiropractor/secretery. my boss's sister works there too, so it's like i have to watch my back the whole time i am there.
another thing that i don't like is that i have to be there very early. for those of you who know me, i am not a morning person. i have to be at work by 7:15 a.m. ULHHHHGHGHGH! this means i have to be up by 5:30 a.m so that i can have enough time to get ready.

New subject:
I have enrolled aniseth in a VPK program. It's free. I am way excited and she is too. She has been waiting to go to school since last year. Yesterday we went to sign her up and it looked like a good school, and she loved it. it is only 3 hours a day, everyday. she will get to make some friends...hopefully. well, gotta go. kids are driving me crazy. :)

I am beginning to see the light!

I have come to the conclusion that ALL men are the same, . . . jerks! OK, maybe only 95% of them. I sometimes look at a man who is really nice and say to myself, “Why can't Daniel be like ______?” Most of these men are married to friends of mine. These men seem so nice and act like gentlemen . . . until the truth comes out and their wives complain about them. Then I just think to myself, “Yep, Daniel is exactly that way.” I will give some examples. I don't mean to offend anyone; I will not use any names. If you think I am speaking about you, please don't be offended.

Friend #1: Husband is a machista (aren't they all?).

Friend #2: Husband loves outdoors and hates being at home inside. Well guess what!! Your wife is stuck at home all day with the children!

Friend #3: Husband cheated on her and he's only sorry that she found out. Yep! He isn't sorry for what he did, only that she found out.

Unrelated note: Daniel just told me, “Honey, this house is not a free country. You're married.”

Friend #4: The other day I was at my friend's house. Her husband wasn't home. So far I had thought that he was in the 5% that are real men. Well, he came home and she got up and cooked dinner for him. Who the heck said that cooking and cleaning for one's husband was a commandment? She was totally expected to do this. Why do I say this? --Because he immediately went to the dining room and sat down and waited to be spoon fed.

Friend #5: We had this couple over for FHE. On the entertainment center we have a picture of when we got married. The girl looked at the picture and said to me, “Wow! You were thin back then.” At this point I wanted to hurt her, but I didn't. I just smiled. Then her jerk husband told me, “Yeah, [my wife] used to be skinny too. She's gained a lot of weight.” (Ironically, she happens to be around a size 7-8. She must have been super-skinny before). Can I say something to this jerk?? She had your baby! On another occasion this guy saw Daniel at the library and asked, “Where is your wife? Is she at home cooking? Mine is at home cooking.” (Note: While they had this conversation, they were watching videos on YouTube.)

I would like to say that I have had some women tell me that I HAVE to do whatever my husband says and do WHATEVER he wants me to. NOPE! Who ever said that women were supposed to be slaves? Now, the women that have told me this are older women who always did everything for their husbands or close enough to it. Anywho, we are all in a new era of life where things have drastically changed.

As for my case, Daniel is only a wanna-be machista who will never be like the many machista jerks I've seen, thank goodness.
